Qargo Ltd ("Qargo", "we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your personal data and privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your information when you use the Qargo mobile application or website (the "App").

Qargo Ltd acts as a Data Controller in accordance with the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) and is responsible for ensuring that personal data is processed lawfully, fairly, and securely.

We collect information you provide when creating an account or using the App, including your name, phone number, email address, and other contact details.
2.2 Delivery Information
We collect information related to deliveries, including pickup and drop-off locations, recipient details, and item descriptions.
2.3 Location Data
We collect real-time and historical location data to enable delivery tracking, routing, and service functionality.
2.4 Device and Usage Information
We may collect technical information such as device type, operating system, IP address, and usage patterns within the App.
2.5 Communications
We may collect and store communications between you, couriers, and Qargo, including calls, messages, and in-app chats, for service and support purposes.
3. How We Use Your Information
Qargo uses your information to:
- Provide and operate delivery services
- Match users with couriers and facilitate deliveries
- Process payments and manage transactions
- Enable tracking and communication during deliveries
- Provide customer support and resolve issues
- Monitor service quality and improve the platform
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud or misuse
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations
4. Location Tracking and Consent
By using Qargo, you consent to the collection and use of your location data for delivery-related purposes, including sharing your location with couriers where necessary to complete deliveries.
Disabling location services may limit or prevent the proper functioning of the App.
5. Sharing of Information
Qargo may share your information only where necessary, including:
5.1 With Couriers
Relevant information such as your name, phone number, and delivery location may be shared with assigned couriers to facilitate deliveries.
5.2 With Service Providers
We may share data with trusted third-party providers, including payment processors and technology partners, to support our services.
5.3 For Legal and Safety Reasons
We may disclose information where required by law or where necessary to protect Qargo, its users, or the public.
Qargo does not sell personal data to third parties.
6. Data Security
Qargo implements reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
7. Data Retention
Qargo retains personal data only for as long as necessary to:
- Provide services
- Comply with legal obligations
- Resolve disputes and enforce agreements

In accordance with the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), you have the right to:

9. Complaints and Data Requests
Users may submit complaints, data access requests, or other privacy-related inquiries through Qargo support.
Qargo will acknowledge such requests within twenty-four (24) to forty-eight (48) hours and will aim to resolve them within a reasonable timeframe, taking into account the nature, complexity, and circumstances of the request. Resolution timelines may vary, and Qargo reserves the right to determine the appropriate resolution process where necessary.
10. Communications
By using Qargo, you consent to receive communications from Qargo, including service-related notifications, updates, and promotional messages. You may opt out of marketing communications, but you may still receive essential service communications.
11. Third-Party Services
The App may contain links to or integrations with third-party services. Where Qargo shares personal data with such third parties to support its services, it takes reasonable steps to ensure that such parties process data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
Qargo does not control and is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services that operate independently of its platform. Users are encouraged to review the privacy policies of such third parties before engaging with them.
12. Children's Privacy
Qargo services are not intended for individuals under the age of eighteen (18), and Qargo does not knowingly collect, process, or store personal data from minors.
By using the Qargo platform, you represent and warrant that you are at least eighteen (18) years old or are using the platform under the supervision and consent of a parent or legal guardian where permitted.
If Qargo becomes aware that personal data has been collected from a minor without appropriate authorization, Qargo reserves the right to suspend or terminate the account and take steps to delete such information as soon as reasonably practicable.
Parents or legal guardians who believe that a minor has provided personal data to Qargo without their consent may contact Qargo to request review and deletion of such information.
Qargo shall not be held liable for any unauthorized use of the platform by individuals under the age of eighteen (18).
13. Updates to this Policy
Qargo reserves the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes through the App or other official channels. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
